Chris Evans has played Steven Roger for nearly a decade and with the release of Avengers: Endgame, Evans revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the elevator scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier is hands-down his favorite moment of his adventure in the MCU.

“I’m partial to that fight scene in the elevator,” Evans said. “That was the first scene we shot in the second Captain America movie. It was my first time working with the Russos; it was the first time where it felt like Cap was kind of on his own. In the first Cap movie, you know, you really felt like everyone was holding my hand and the first Avengers movie, I just did my best to not get in the way,”

“The second Cap movie is the one that I really kind of felt, I suppose, pressure and that first elevator fight scene came out really great in my opinion.”

Sure, there are a lot of badass moments in The Winter Soldier, but the elevator scene in SHIELD headquarters might be the best one. The short action sequence showcases exactly why Steve Rogers is the Super Soldier. Just using his gut instincts and his natural abilities, he lets the Hydrated SHIELD agents know that he knows what they’re about to do. And because he’s polite, he first asks his would-be attackers if any of them would like to get out before it gets ugly. Since no one does, he opens the biggest can of whoop-ass on 10 trained agents in a tiny cramped elevator and mops the floor with them.

“Before we get started, does anyone want to get out?”
