Wei Wang is a world builder, storyteller, illustrator, and artist, based in Irvine, United States. Wei is most notably famous for having realized the majority of the most iconic artwork for World of Warcraft, such as expansion box cover art, race leader loading screens, and content patch artwork. He also created art for StarCraft, Diablo and for many World of Warcraft Trading Card Game cards, some of which have also been used for Hearthstone – for which he also served as a cinematic artist.

Wei joined Blizzard after he met Mike Morhaime – the former strategic advisor and one of the co-founders of Blizzard Entertainment – in China and showed him his portfolio. Besides working on World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, he also provided much concept art for the Warcraft film released in 2016. Wang left Blizzard Entertainment in 2017 and is now working as a freelance artist.
